2. If you were planning to do your holiday shopping at the new Super Walmart, you may want to put those plans on hold. The opening has now been delayed until February 10th, 2012.
3. This is not a joke dept: work has finally begun on repairs to the stone tunnel on Still Valley Road. Tentative reopening date is some time this January. Realistically, expect it to open sometime in the spring.
Do you know when the new Wawa will open..? It seems they have a small window to finish final paving of the complex. Most asphalt plant stop making mix in late December. They will reopen in March/April
ReplyDeleteInteresting point. Weather has been pretty good lately. They were seeding and mulching yesterday. From what I hear openings are still being targeted for February. If I hear otherwise, I will update.
ReplyDeleteheard some rumor about some problems with the inside of the store at Walmart. They have not moved anything into it yet and have not started hiring. I find it hard to believe they are shooting for Feb. Kinda sucks as I cant wait for wawa to open. I like their coffee and gas prices. Hopefully, wawa will open sooner.
ReplyDeletei think the red light cameras have to go away. i have gotten 4 tickets in a 3 week period and at $85 a ticket i can not afford that. i dont have a job and my money from unemployment is not enough to support my family and i dont have any extra to just give away. not every ticket i got was my fault and because there is no cop to talk to an explain what happened and then he decide if i get the ticket this is just cut and dry. just check the video they say but the video dose not show what is going on in the car or that the yellow light is to short. there should be some type of countdown clock to tell you when the light will change because i did not set out to run red lights or turn on red just for the hell of it. please boycott pohatcong township business and maybe they will get the message. the town has made $300,000 in just 2 months off these red light cameras and that is how they are going to pay for a complete new municipal building. dont take my work just go drive by it. it is off 519 on municipal drive cant miss the construction work going on there.
ReplyDeleteDave, I would suggest only going through the light when it is green and avoiding it when it is yellow as this triggers the camera. As for the right turn on red, I dont do that anymore and wait for the green now. I know this sucks but I dont have time to go to court and fight this nonsense either.I also donot go through the one at 519/22 at all. I will avoid the new walmart as well because of this. ReplyDeleteTalked to wawa and they intend to open Feb 10th. I guess that is the same time as the walmart folks. WOnder why they need to wait another month and a half..?
